Rafik Fanous

Rafik Fanous is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow. He qualified from St George’s, University of London in 2009 going on to complete a Masters in Musculoskeletal Sciences at Oxford University. 

Rafik trained in the North West London rotation in prestigious units such as Imperial College Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Fellowship trained in Nottingham, he has also worked as a Consultant in Manchester’s busy trauma centre giving him a wide range of experience.

Rafik performs primary, complex and revision shoulder and elbow joint replacements. He is a specialist in arthroscopic (key-hole) surgery and awake surgery. 

He is involved in audit, research and teaching as well as being a GMC-recognised trainer for specialist trainees in the East Midlands deanery.
